NFL MVP Odds: Top 5 Favorites to Win in 2025

The football mania is finally upon us, and the question of who will win the NFL MVP of the NFL 2025 season is already a hot-button topic. Last season, Bills quarterback Josh Allen edged out Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson to take home the coveted award.

Moving on to 2025, the race will be as exciting as ever. With the QB position squirming with talent like never before, there are a number of skilled players who have what it takes to win.

Now, let’s look at the players with the top 5 odds to win the NFL MVP award in 2025.

#1: Lamar Jackson +550 Odds

Jackson won the NFL MVP award in 2023 thanks to a career season where he put up 3,678 passing yards and 24 passing touchdowns. While the passing stats were great, he truly earned the reward on the ground, where he ran for 821 yards and 5 rushing touchdowns.

Coming into the 2025 season, Jackson has a similar supporting case, which features wide receiver Zay Flowers and tight end Mark Andrews. At +550 odds, the oddsmakers expect Jackson to continue putting up elite numbers.

#2 Joe Burrow +575 Odds

Joe Burrow lit up the NFL in 2024, putting up an absurd 4.918 passing yards and 43 passing touchdowns. Burrow had an argument for the award, but the Bengals’ 9-8 record stopped him from receiving it.

Fast forward to 2025, and Burrow is looking to put up similar stats with even more team success. The Bengals’ defense will need to step up to make Burrow a worthy pick at his current +575 odds.

#3 Josh Allen +600 Odds

Josh Allen’s 2024 MVP run was pure dominance. Slinging bombs for 3,731 yards and 28 TDs, then bulldozing defenses with 531 rushing yards and 12 more scores.

Allen’s legs carried the load for the Bills in 2024, but to get back to MVP status, I expect Allen to use his arm more efficiently in 2025. In the passing game, Allen will look to rely more heavily on second-year wide receiver and third-year tight end Dalton Kincaid.

#4 Patrick Mahomes +700 Odds

Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs to a 15-1 record in his 16 starts during the 2024 season. Mahomes had a down year by his standards, passing for 4,183 yards and 27 touchdowns. He added 389 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

Looking forward to the 2025 season, and Mahomes is looking to improve his passing touchdown numbers. With Rashee Rice suspended for the first six games of the season, Mahomes will heavily rely on second-year Xavier Worthy and future Hall of Fame tight end, Travis Kelce, to improve his passing touchdown numbers.

#5 Jayden Daniels +850 Odds

In his rookie season, Jayden Daniels took the NFL by storm. Daniels threw for 3,389 yards and 20 touchdowns, while adding 664 yards and six touchdowns on the ground. Going into 2025, Daniels will look to improve on those numbers.

During the offseason, the Commanders added former 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel. Samuel provides a big-play threat that can help improve Daniels’ passing numbers. Additionally, wide receiver Terry McLaurin signed a three-year, $ 69 million extension during training camp. With two elite wide receivers, Daniels is a potential value at +850 odds.

FAQs

Q: Who’s the safest bet for NFL MVP 2025?
Lamar Jackson. Proven dual-threat, loaded supporting cast, and the odds-on favorite.

Q: Who’s the best value MVP sleeper?
Jayden Daniels. +850 with Deebo and McLaurin in his corner? That’s spicy upside.

Q: Can Patrick Mahomes still win MVP with “down” numbers?
Absolutely. If KC goes 15-2 again, voters will give Mahomes love, even without monster stats.

Q: Is Josh Allen repeating as MVP realistic?
Yes, but he needs cleaner passing. If he balances his arm with his legs, he’s in the mix.Q: Why does Joe Burrow need wins to win MVP?
MVP voters care about records. Burrow’s stats were elite in 2024, but 9-8 won’t cut it.
