NFL Week 6 Recap 2025: Top Fantasy Stars & Surprises
Week 6 of the NFL 2025 season is officially in the books, and man, did it not disappoint.
On Thursday night, New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart engineered the upset of defending Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles. On Sunday morning, the Denver Broncos beat the winless New York Jets 13-11 in a hideous football game. In the afternoon, the Ravens fell to 1-5 on the season, disappointment for the Super Bowl favorite coming into the season.
With all the exciting games, some memorable fantasy football performances were bound to happen. Today, we’ll take a look at NFL Week 6 top fantasy football performers.
Rico Dowdle Shines Again
Panthers running back Rico Dowdle led in all-players when it comes to PPR fantasy football scoring for the second week in a row with 33.9 fantasy points. The majority of the points came on the 183 yards rushing on 30 attempts, along with a touchdown and 56 yards receiving.
The former Dallas Cowboy has overcome many doubters, especially in his last two games. It is hard to see the injured starter, Chuba Hubbard, getting his job back anytime soon.
Josh Jacobs Balls-Out After the Bye Week
Week 6 witnessed Packers running back Josh Jacobs go back in time with his performance versus the Bengals. Jacobs accumulated 93 rushing yards and two touchdowns and 57 receiving yards. For such a feat, he earned a total of 32.0 PPR fantasy points.
Today, Jacobs is sitting as a fantasy football league’s top-five running back, and his spot in a Packers offense is solid enough not to need any adjustments. As people would say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
George Pickens Is Pivotal
Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens accumulated a monumental 9 receptions, 168 yards, and 1 touchdown in the Cowboys’ loss to the Carolina Panthers. Pickens’ performance in terms of numbers equaled 31.8 PPR fantasy points.
In CeeDee Lamb’s absence, Pickens has been the Cowboys’ primary target in the passing game. While there is a chance Lamb can return from injury in Week 7, Pickens has become a centerpiece of the Cowboys’ explosive passing game.
Other Notable Performances
De’Von Achane, Cam Skattebo, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba played hard and delivered, scoring over 30 fantasy points for the week. Chances are you were the big winner in comps if any of the mentioned players were in your roster.
Other unexpected performances of the week were Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte, with 26.3 fantasy points, and Chargers running back Kimani Vidal, with 22.8 fantasy points.
Overall, Week 6 was full of surprises, just like NFL Week 5. And Week 7 seems promising enough to be just as captivating!
