Green Bay Packers 2025: NFC North Dominance Ahead?
The Green Bay Packers have opened the NFL 2025 season on fire. They have defeated the defending NFC North Champions, the Detroit Lions, 27-13 in their season opener. The team followed that up with a 27-18 thrashing of Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders.
The Packers may have the NFL’s best resume after two games, but will they be able to maintain it as the season progresses? Let’s analyze the Packers’ upcoming five regular-season games.
Game 3: @ Cleveland Browns (W)
Looking to continue their winning streak, the Packers will likely dominate the Joe Flacco-led Browns in week three. The Packers’ defense, led by Micah Parsons, is too much for the Browns’ offensive line to handle. Don’t be surprised if the game gets out of hand in the second half.
Game 4: @ Dallas Cowboys (W)
The Cowboys and Packers last met in the playoffs during the 2023-2024 season, where the Packers throttled the opposition in a 48-32 beatdown at Jerry’s World. Looking at the teams, I expect a heated game between the two with legit playoff hopes. The Packers may even have the upper hand, as it’s a revenge game for Micah Parsons.
Game 5: @ Cincinnati Bengals (W)
Game five for the Packers comes after a bye week. The fully rested Packers return home for a battle with Joe Burrow and the Bengals. While the Bengals have an explosive offense, there is no chance their defense is stopping the duo of Jordan Love and Josh Jacobs. The game will be close, but in the end, the Packers’ offense will, again, prove to be too much for the Bengals’ defense.
Game 6: @ Arizona Cardinals (L)
The Packers play Arizona in their third road game in the last four games. The Cardinals are led by a strong offense featuring quarterback Kyler Murray, running back James Conner, wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., and tight end Trey McBride. For the Cardinals to have any chance of making the playoffs, they will need to defeat the Packers. After starting (5-0), the Packers will experience a loss on the road to the Cardinals. It will be close, but the Cardinals’ offensive weapons will surprise and ultimately defeat the Packers at the end of the day.
Game 7: @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Game seven is the perfect get-right spot for the Packers. The Steelers, with Aaron Rodgers as their leading man, provide little to no threat in the run game. The Packers defense will bring blitzes and stunts galore, getting Rodgers off his spots and making mistakes. The Packers will come out swinging and dominate the Steelers. The game won’t be close in the second half for sure!
The Packers Start the Season (6-1)
My fantasy football predictions for the next five games of the Green Bay Packers’ season have them at a (6-1) record. Starting with a (6-1) record should put the Packers at the top of the NFC North seven games into the season.
The Packers will continue to play the Ravens, Broncos, and Eagles outside of the division. Although they must maintain their dominance on both sides of the ball, Green Bay has the raw talent and skills to finish the season with 13 or more wins.
